2024 Board of Directors Elections Information

Update: At the conclusion of the San Mateo County Elections Candidate Statement Filling Period, it was determined that incumbents in District Zone C and Zone D ran unopposed. Therefore, there will not be an election on the ballot this November. For more information, please review the San Mateo County Roster of Candidates Here

Beginning with the 2022 election, the District changed the way it elects directors from at-large to zone-based elections. The District now uses a system based on five zones and has established zone boundaries and election sequencing.

Instead of voting for each available open seat on the Board of Directors, residents will now vote only for the candidates running within their zone. If you live and vote in Zone A, B or E you will be eligible to run for election in 2026 to represent your zone on the Board of Directors. To check what zone you reside in, use the map below.
